runescape - my level 138 skills and inventory
World of Warcraft tips?
Okay so I'm going to be a Night Elf Rogue...What are some tips? What are some places I should advoid as a noob? I already have some experience in MMORPGs such as RuneScape (lvl 92 out of the possible 138 Combat levels) So I know the basics of MMOs
Level using the combat tree. I found my rogue to be quite easy to level as long as you make use of your cooldowns and your crowd control in bigger fights.
If you plan to max out lockpicking then constantly pickpocket any creature you are allowed to. This will get you lock boxes which will fill in a lot of the gaps as you level your skill.
Depending on which weapon specialization you choose you'll typically want a slow mainhand weapon (2.5+ speed) and a very fast off hand weapon (1.4 is ideal). Always keep poison on your weapons. Crippling poison is great for leveling so use that in one hand and then use deadly or instant poison in the other. There will be a poison quest which is typically quite difficult when you get it so I'd ask for help when you come to that point.
I would avoid wandering around, keep following quests and you should be fine. Usually as you're about to wrap up all the quests in a zone you'll be directed to another appropriate zone.
Don't waste money buying gear all the time, quest rewards are more than enough to level with.
Always log out in an inn. This gets you the most rested experience so by doing this you'll be making leveling easier.
