Runescape Notes Fun

text-based vs graphics RPG games: Do those that like text based game enjoy reading a lot too?

I ask only because I find it fascinating that some people really don't enjoy text based games. I find text allows you to have deeper stories and better interaction with others online.

For the uninitiated, there are dozens of graphic games to recommend (runescape, etc.) and if you haven't tried text based games, try these two (note that shadowwarfare is under construction at this time and in testing mode - which is still fun because you can make suggestions to direct its development). i will post the links below:

I love to read, and as any reader knows it's the power of our own imagination to bring the story to life that holds the power.

I played Realms of Despair for years which introduced me to the text based RPG. I then moved over to Everquest and now play World of Warcraft (both games gui based). Even tho the developers include a rich story line which you can choose to read or not... it's still not the same.

However, an element has been lost, and I think it goes right back to the imagination... the picture that someone else paints for us can never be as personal or as powerful to us as the picture our imagination paints for ourselves.

But there are times when the eye candy is great and the music swells..... well.... I suppose you could ask the same question of books and movies?

Good Question! - I'll deff check out the link!

Fun with RuneScape note system! =D

Who here plays Runescape, and actually LIKES it?

I have a level-83 account on RuneScape (shame that its not a member), but i have lots of fun playing it, especially if i decide to go PKing.

Feel free to comment about the game and your account (Don't say its name, we want to keep your account safe from hackers)

Note that if you rant about Runescape on this thread, you will be reported for abuse.

I've played Runescape on and off for over 3 years now and am now a level 74 character. I played during the time of the old runescape and can remember when they announced the development of the current runescape.

I get bored with it after a month or 2 and then leave for awhile and eventually come back to it. I've been a member probably 4 or 5 times, but everytime I leave I cancel membership. I haven't played in several months now.

It can be a fun game, but the endless clicking can get annoying. My highest stats are in the 80's - woodcutting and fletching. I check the forums every few weeks to check up prices on the rares and everytime I check, my account becomes richer as I have a couple rares. My favorite skill is woodcutting.
