First of all the membership fee is only 6$ a month which is easily affordable. Second of all it is worth it because they are so many more ways to easily acquire money.
Depending on your combat level I would say one of the best ways to make money in the millions is the kill green dragons. Make sure you have an antidragon shield, antifire potions or an anti-dragon shield (if you do not have one of these you will die quickly because they can easily hit in the 30s with their dragon breath). I would also recommend 80+ combat so you do not have to right-click to attack them and so it goes much quicker (you do not have to be this high of a level; I have seen players as low as lvl 65 combat for melee and 50+ for range although it takes them a long time to kill one dragon). Simply take the bones and dragon hides and then bank (I recommend an amulet of glory for edgeville teleports because the empty ones sell for the same price as charged ones). I can easily make up 1mil a week with a record of 5mil in one week!!! (although for this I did play about 6-8 hours everyday so don't get your hopes up too much). WATCH OUT FOR REVENANTS.
If your combat level is not high enough or you do not feel comfortable killing monsters I would recommend either : woodcutting, mining or runecrafting.
Let's start with woodcutting. Simply get level 75 woodcutting (although much higher would be an advantage) and find a good magic tree cutting spot that is close enough to a bank but relatively unpopulated (more trees for you yay!!!). Use at least a rune axe but if you can afford it a dragon axe really helps. There's not much left to say. You can again make up to a few million a week depending on your woodcutting level.
Next is mining. Get level 85 mining for runite ores (this may take a while but you will make profit while doing it so don't worry too much). Simply by getting 85 mining you will have already made a few million. Once you are 85 mining go to the Heroe's Guild and mine the two runite ores there. Then logout and switch worlds and simply repeat this until your inventory is full. Then bank and start over. Runite ores are worth 11k each so you can make about 600k in only 2 hours. I personally think this is one of the best money making methods in the game.
Last but not least is Runecrafting. For best profits you should get 91 runecrafting so you can make two nature runes from one pure essence. Then buy a lot of glories an use the abyss to get to your alters much faster than normal (for more information look on the runescape forums or guides). Double nature runes are good profit because one pure essence is 130gp. Two nature runes are at least 600gp so you make very good profits. If you do not have 91 runecrafting you can still make a profit with single nature runes (300gp each and level 44), law runes (250gp each and level 51) or death runes if you have done the quest (300gp each and level 70).
